The ''Cross Door Plate'' is on the front door of a century old church on Edisto Island South Carolina.
I remember back to my childhood days in the 1950's when we still used this type of lock. The key used was referred to as a 'skeleton key'.
As with all things over time, I see they have installed a newer 'dead bolt' lock above it.
